2/2/17 Mendon Unity came to Beardstown for the Tiger's senior night and did what most fans expected.  They won 53-31 as they took a 17-4 first quarter lead and never looked back. Ten of the Mustangs scored tonight as Hildebrand (12) and Addison MNiller (11) led the way.  They hit 37% of their shots and 60% from the free throw line with 15 turnovers. They will take an 18-8 record into the Astoria regional as the #1 seed.  Beardstown fell to 6-21 with the loss as McGill led the way with 10 pooints and Price followed with 8.  They hit 23% of their shots and had a good night from the free throw line with an 8 for 13 effort.  They had 23 turnovers and will open their regional play offs against Rushville at the CPC tournament.  Whoever wins that game will face CPC in round two. 
1/10/17 South Fulton got off to a great start tonight and took a 15-2 lead at the end of the first quarter, in route to defeating Beardstown 61-36.  The Tigers got to within 7 points on 2 occasions but couldn't get over the hill and were out scored heavily in the 2nd half.  They fell to 5-10 on the year and the Rebels evened their record with 7 wins and 7 losses.  Riddle led Beardstown with 14 points while Nava added 12 and Guilavogi 11 in the loss.  Beardstown shot 28 percent from the field and 50 percent from the line with 20 turnovers.  South Fulton had 9 players score and were led by 21 from Dowin, 13 from Hammond and 11 from Lehman.  They hit 50 percent of their shots and 60 percent of their free throws with 12 turnovers.  The Rebels looked pretty good for a team with a .500 record.

Porta/AC came to Beardstown with a 5-0 record and played very well as they knocked off the Tigers to stay undefeated.  They led at every quarter and posted a 61-39 win at the final buzzer.  Leigh had 17 (5 for 5 from long range), Max Muller 16 and Toyne 13 as he hit 3 for 4 from beyond the arc.  The Jays shot 50% from the field and 78% from the free throw line.  They had 18 turnovers but 2/3 of them came with subs on the floor. The Tigers hung around for a while and also made some short runs in the game but just couldn't keep up with the height and shooting of Porta.  The Tigers fell to 2 and 4 on the year.  Ruiz had a good night with 17 points and Riddle hit 9 but they only shot 38% from the field and 38% from the line with 18 turnovers and came up short in the loss.
10/18/16 In a Volley for the Cure event, the Beardstown Lady Tigers defeated Rushville-Industry 25-15, 26-24.  Rushville:  Briney 1 assist 1 kill, Spencer 1 kill, Gronewold 1 assist 2 kills, Etter 4 points 1 ace 5 assists, Ingles 4 points 1 ace 2 kills, Krohe 2 oints 5 kills, Crum 3 assists, Farris 21 assist 1 block, Norton 5 points 3 aces, Chancey 2 points 1 ace 2 assists 3 kills and Bartlett 3 points. Belville had numerous digs against the hard hitting Tigers. The Rockets had 3 service errors and fell to 8 and 17 on the year.  Beardstown:  L. Garcia 1 point 1 kill, Price 1 assist 2 kills, MCcGill 2 points 1 ace 16 assists, E. Garcia 1 point, Rawlins 8 points 1 assist 4 kills, O. Dour 9 points 5 aces 2 assists 15 kills 3 blocks, A. Dour 3 kills 1 block and Sommers 9 points 1 ace and several digs. The Tigers had 5 service errors and improved to 16-11 on the year.  They will play at Brown County on Thursday, then the Rushville regional next week.
10/13/15 Beardstown struggled somewhat against a very stubborn White Hall North Greene VB team tonight before winning 25-22, 27-25.  For the Spartans, Randall had 7 points, 4 assists and 3 kill, Brannan 9points and several good digs, Davis 9 points, 9 assists and 5 kills, Evans 1 pooint, 1 assist and 6 kills, Powell 2 points, 1 assist and 2 kills, Barnard 2 kills and 1 block, Rhoades 1 assist, 4 kills and 4 blocks.  WHNG had  3 serivce errors in game 1 and none in game two.  Beardstown's Price had 2 assists and 2 kill, Cowell 8 points, 2 aces, 11 kills and 2 blocks, Madrid 6 points, 3 aces and 4 kills, Young 2 points, 1 ace, and 19 assists,  Pinguey 4 points and 1 kill, Dour 3 points, 1 ace and 7 kills, Sommers 2 points and many nice digs while Rawlins had 7 points.  Beardstown had zero service errors in game 1 and 4 in game 2.  They willl play Triopia on Thursday in a Volley for the Cause match.  
10/1/15 Beardstown is 7 and 7 on the season, in volleyball, after losing 25-17, 25-17 to the Lady Eagles of Liberty.  Young led the Tigers with 12 assists, 1 kill and 2 blocks.  It was a good night for Cowell also as she had 2 points, 7 kills and 3 blocks.  Dour was strong at the net with 9 kills and a block and Sommers contributed 5 points and numerous digs.  The Tigers had 5 service errors on the night. The Eagles had good numbers all around in this team win.  Hyer had 11 points, 1 assist and 5 kills, Siebers 6 points, 16 assists and 2 kill, Genenbacher 3 kills and 3 blocks, Leapley 6 points, 2 assists and 7 kills and Lefringhouse 4 points and 5 kills.  Liberty had 7 service errors on the night.  Beardstown won the JV tilt 25-23, 25-12.
